Shaleek received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Liberty University, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he served on the board of the Black Law Student Association. While attending law school, Shaleek participated in the Youth Advocacy Clinic, where he advocated for juvenile immigrants to receive safe and stable guardianship. Shaleek received the bronze public service award for over 300 hours of pro bono work.
Before attending law school, Shaleek served in the United State Marine Corps for 8 years, and lives by that institution’s core values, Honor, Courage, and Commitment. In his free time, Shaleek enjoys spending time with family, reading, and mentoring the youth in his community.
