Epstein Ostrove, LLC's Attorney, Kenneth Hayes, Appointed for a 5-Year term to the Board of Trustees of New Jersey

In March 2023, by Order of the New Jersey Supreme Court, Kenneth Hayes, Esq. of Epstein Ostrove, LLC was appointed for a 5-year term to the Board of Trustees of the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey.

IOLTA

Since 1989, the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey has awarded grants of over $462 million to Legal Services of New Jersey, the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, and more than 130 other non-profit organizations. The grants are used for funding free legal services to low-income people with civil legal problems, improvement in the administration of justice, and education about the law.

For example, in 2020, IOLTA grant awards supported 6,000 cases handled by small legal aid providers and Legal Services of New Jersey. The New Jersey State Bar Foundation also receives a share of IOLTA’s revenue to carry out its mission promoting public understanding of the law. More than $57 million has been awarded for the Foundation’s programs and publications which go to school children, teachers, law students, consumers, advocates, seniors, and legal professionals.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS

Ken is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law, Newark, New Jersey, and a recipient of the Alan A. Axelrod prize which is awarded to the student with the highest average in commercial law classes. Prior to going to law school, Ken worked in the Internal Audit Department of Allied Signal Inc., presently known as Honeywell.

Joining Epstein Ostrove, LLC in 2019, he brought more than twenty years of diverse litigation experience to the firm. Ken is a member of the bars of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
